More Nepali/Indian food in Buechel

by Rich S » Thu Feb 29, 2024 3:57 pm

Two more restaurants serving Nepali and/or Indian food have opened in Buechel. (The area already had three: Kathmandu Kitchen, Chamling and ToGo India.)

Momo House & Bar opened in mid-December at 3932 Bardstown Road. Its menu is mostly Nepali food with a few Indian dishes. There doesn’t seem to be a website, but you can see photos of the menu here:

Kentucky Curry House opened a few weeks ago at 3927 Bardstown Road. The menu is mostly Indian but there is some Nepali food (and the head chef is from Nepal).

I ate at Katmandu Kitchen about 2 wks ago when I dropped my car off in the area for service. The food was of very good quality, and there were quite a few people there. But I made the mistake of ordering my soup and main dish with "medium" spice. I should have known better, but I took a chance and it was just too friggin spicy to enjoy. It wasn't the restaurant's fault, but rather my own. So be mindful of the cultural differences here. Its happened to me before and I should have selected on the safe side.
