English Grill re-opened?

Anyone heard anything about the re-opening of The English Grill/Brown Hotel? I stumbled across a Trip Advisor review dated Oct. '23 (3 months ago), praising an evening there?

I see this on Trip Advisor, undated:

We look forward to welcoming you soon to The Brown Hotel. We are serving guests in The Lobby Bar for Lunch and Dinner--where we feature the World Famous Hot Brown Sandwich.

We anticipate reopening the English Grill in the fall.

The last review there was in 2021.

Further, the Brown Hotel itself does not profess that the English Grill is open.

I assume the review you saw was the first one (October 2023) on this page? Dunno. Either the person is lying or else they ate in the lobby bar but posted it on the English Grill page.

Interesting, Willie! Thanks for the link. So, if I'm reading it correctly, the Lobby Bar is now using the English Grill space for spillover seating, but it's still the Lobby Bar kitchen and menu? That would make sense on a number of different levels, including the PR benefit of having people perceive the English Grill as being open again.

And then there's the onetime competitor Seelbach Oakroom, which I assume is also still closed with no signs of life?
