I posted this in order to get some feedback before we dined there. It would seem it's been flying under the radar. We ate there last Sunday brunch and had a great time. It's in the old Gold Star Chili building that sits in front of the Kroger off Hurstbourne Ln. I was worried the ambiance might be a bit "fast foody" but no, it was quite contemporary, airy, and (as to be expected with those big windows) light without being too bright. There is also outdoor dining available. I can't say the brunch menu was extensive, it had some of the usual offerings- assorted salads, eggs with a meat, biscuts and gravy, chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits. And it also had a a rice bowl, an ancient grain bowl and a hash brown bowl, all easily adapted for vegans or vegetarians. They also had fried green tomatos and grit fritters. Every thing we had was finely executed and very tasty. They also had an assortment of Brunch cocktails that were so good we had a second round.
Service was exactly what we were looking for- friendly, informative and helpful without being cloying or overbearing. A young woman that identified herself as the owner dropped by our table several times to check on us and see how things were. She was genuine and sincere in her inquiries as to our dining experience. The last time she stopped by we realized we may have been overstaying our visit because the place was running a wait and they badly needed the table. But she was very skillful with her "thanks but it's time to move it along. Please come back again." And we will, no doubt, return. We all found it a solid "A" for a lovely Sunday brunch.
