Me too! Have you tried Redbud yet? I've heard that it carries on the Eiderdown spirit to some extent.

No, not yet. We need to get over there. I see a couple of things on the menu that are reminiscent of some Eiderdown offerings, but not the dishes we loved most.

I went to Redbud this weekend and liked it a lot. They painted the brick and added some wallpaper, but kept the furniture and same layout, so the vibe is very familiar. I had a Weihanstefaner and chicken dinner with greens and stuffing, which also felt like a continuation of Eiderdown in spirit. The menu is a homey throwback that’s less German-American than Eiderdown, but still comfort food. I never would have guessed it was by the people who did New Wave and Toasty’s if I hadn’t read it first; although the food is certainly of a comparable level of quality. I’m very happy they’re there! Between Redbud, Hauck’s, and North of Bourbon, Goss has gotten some great post-pandemic additions.

Redbud has announced that they’re closing. What a bummer.

They’re still open for a few weeks if you want to give it a shot.

I might, Iggy, although it's rough to do a meal that I won't be able to review. But yeah, maybe. I'd hate to miss it entirely.
