502 Crab House closes

by Rich S » Mon Jun 06, 2022 12:56 pm

502 Crab House, which opened a year ago at 5023 Mud Lane as part of the wave of new Cajun seafood restaurants, closed sometime in May, according to its Facebook page. That’s a real shame, especially since it had started serving some Vietnamese dishes in addition to seafood.

Another Cajun seafood restaurant — Captain Crab Seafood Boil, at 4112 Outer Loop — also is having problems. Two weeks ago it had a sign on the door saying it was temporarily closed because of lack of staff. Now the phone appears to be disconnected, and people on Facebook are asking if it’s closed for good.

And one more Cajun seafood restaurant has closed — The Juicy Crab, on Lewis and Clark Parkway in Clarksville — according to the new issue of Food & Dining magazine. Google says it’s just temporarily closed, but that location no longer shows up on the Juicy Crab website. I believe the Clarksville restaurant opened early this year; it’s hard to understand how it closed so quickly.
