The Food & Dining website had a brief item on this: The building at 1301 Story Ave. that used to house Butchertown Pizza Hall and Hog Father Pizza is becoming a tiki lounge/restaurant called South Seas. I don’t think it’s completely open yet — it doesn’t seem to have its liquor license — but apparently you can order carry-out food online. The menu refers to the fare as “coastal Mexican cuisine” — brunch dishes, some unusual types of pancakes, tacos and tortas.
https://www.toasttab.com/south-seas-1301-story-ave/v3I’ve read online that South Seas operates a tiki bar at the new soccer stadium a few blocks away. It appears to be connected to the owners of the Silver Dollar, who also owned the now-closed El Camino, which offered a variety of tiki drinks.
