Need a Good Place for Anniversary

by Gary Guss » Tue Feb 22, 2022 1:04 am

Taking my special woman out for our 28th Anniversary. She is not a seafood lover. Likes Italian and also beef and pork chops..
Thinking about Grassa Gramma, Vincenzos, and Bucks as potential spots.. I'm looking for romantic type of venue and dressy as well.. What say you foodie hivemind? Am I missing someplace obvious that I should be adding to the list.. Rather not do Ruth's Chris or other corporate type chain place.

Thanks in advance,

GG

Gary, those are good picks, although you might add Volare, which in my opinion is the city's top place for Italian these days. If crossing the river isn't an issue, Brooklyn and the Butcher is worth a look.

I'll cast a second vote for Volare.

Grassa Gramma for sure if you haven't been. There is not another restaurant like it in the area. They also have special tables and booths for special occasions and will have flowers waiting when you arrive.

Another vote for Volare. I like Grassa Gramma, but I've found the former to be more consistent. I've had a couple of wonderful dinners at Grassa Gramma, but at least one was a little off. I've never had anything but a fantastic experience at Volare.

Buck's or Volare! Flip a coin, or even better hit both!
