Foodie Question

by Robin F. » Wed Nov 10, 2021 9:21 am

Looking for ideas. We always keep a couple of Lotsa Pasta frozen entrees (lasagna, pot pie) in the freezer. Always good (love the chicken lasagna). Any suggestions for other place to buy frozen entrees? I know a lot of restaurants started offering pre-made family meals, but I’m looking for frozen. Thanks!

Trader Joe's, and I was going to say Whole Foods. If you want local, though, Lotsa Pasta is a great place to get this kind of thing.

If you have the freezer space, Costco sometimes has some surprisingly good items. For example, a few weeks ago I picked up a three-pack of soppressata, mushroom, and bacon frozen pizzas imported from Italy that are fantastic. Definitely hit-or-miss, but we've had some luck there.

GFS (Gordon Food Service) has a lot of "restaurant quality" (e.g.: Stouffers and similar) frozen mains and meals, tho mainly larger sizes. Also, the larger local liquor stores (Party Mart type) have frozen sections.

Finally, Paul's frequently has some interesting frozen entrees, some from Lotsa Pasta and some others.

Aldi usually has a few gourmet-esque frozen items. I picked up some frozen tomato grilled cheese soup and a couple of fancy pizzas tonight.
