Hooked on Frankfort

Taking my son and DIL to Hooked on Frankfort tonight. None of us have been before.

Any suggestions/opinions?

Frog legs are the tiny variety, and quite good!

My favorite thing there are the fried clams. Best in town, IMO. Crispy, tender and non-greasy.

We had the seafood platter and clams. Everything was good to great. We just weren't huge fans of the atmosphere.

Might be too late, but here's my May 2019 review, right after opening.

We shared a huge fried fish platter and a ton of sides and were happy with everything.

We enjoyed our visit to Hooked on Frankfort quite a bit...everyone said they would come back and bring others!

Son and DIL split a pound of "smoked" shrimp...not enough smoke flavor was the response from both.

I had the fish tacos and were just about the best I have had!

Kids liked the onion straws for an appetizer...just a bit greasy for me, but what do you expect ... they are fried onions!

Fries were excellent and I am not a fry fan. All the food was hot and fresh.

Service was slow but adequate...I believe she was the only server.

Parking was difficult because the sister beer depot was rockin'!

Reasonable tab for meal with 5 beers and an iced tea for me...total was $62 with an added 25% tip.

We have had their fish tacos several times. They never disappoint.

I'll agree with one of the comments that the atmosphere leaves something to be desired, but it is what it is.
