Outside Dining Spots!

by Gary Guss » Fri Sep 10, 2021 10:08 pm

In search of nice outside dining spots, getting burned out on Cunninghams and Captains Quarters, as great as they are.. Looking for more varied cuisine. With fall coming on would be nice if they had patio heaters also..

Thanks for your comments!

Selena's, Chik'n MI, Saints, Irish Rover, August Moon, Ciao, Mama's, Ramsi's Norton Commons, RiverHouse, Blind Squirrel

Seems like most places today have nice outdoor settings!

Which Mama's has outdoor seating? Also I'm not so sure if I would count on Ramsi's being around anymore after their recent bankruptcy filing and the fact they have reopened after the kitchen remodeling. All the others however are great choices.

Multiple Mexican spots on Bardstown have nice patios: I Heart Tacos, El Mundo, Noche, and La Suerta are all great options. Monnik has a nice patio as well as plenty of sidewalk tables. Gravely Brewery has a fantastic patio served by a rotating food truck. The upper deck there has a great view; about the only one of the downtown skyline available in or near the Highlands.

The original St. MATTS Mama's has a patio. It's not the most attractive, but it works! Martin's BBQ has a nicer patio, but Mama's has slightly better food.

It may be too early to declare a death sentence on the Norton Ramsi's. If they set it up as a franchise - or even as a separate entity with a different ownership structure - it may very well survive/thrive.
