The 922

The Kroger in Old Louisville near Spaulding University that is transforming into a brewery is called The 922. I had a chance to stop by and peak in from various points. The place is very large and impressive. It also has a nice paved patio and artificial grass front with many possibilities that extend well beyond the building. It looks quite classy inside (and out) and will most surely serve as a hub for the dubbed "SoBro" area. The Spaulding Physical Therapy program will be located a street back in the old Chevy dealership on 3rd St. That area has some interesting potential.

Has anyone else been following this or has had a close look at the soon to be finished brewery?

Unless something has changed I thought it was going to be Noble Funk.

There is a big sign on the 2nd St side of the building that writes "The 922." That may be the term used for the building itself which will eventually house more than the brewery. But it does indeed look like the brewery is Noble Funk.

Noble Funk just announced that its soft opening will be this Friday and Saturday. I'm looking forward to trying it when the pandemic situation improves.
