The Keg Liquors ranked #14 Beer Retailer by Ratebeer.com

by Scott_Shreffler » Tue Feb 05, 2008 10:19 pm

Saw a post from Todd announcing that The Keg has been ranked #14 on ratebeer.com's yearly ranking of the best beer retailers in the WORLD!!! So, I just wanted to be the first to congratulate them. It is a great honor, for a store that is very deserving. Congrats to Todd and all the crew at The Keg.

Little wonder from me here.
I was a confirmed NON-beer drinker. It just tasted so bad to me from the first time I tasted it. Guess I though it would taste similar to what it looked like, creme soda.
After moving across the one mile of "burning fire" Ohio (sic), I needed a decent liquor store to supply sour mash. During a restock at The Keg I mentioned seeing that Todd was the "Beer Guy". I told him of my dislike for suds and he graciously steered me towards Belgium ales I may just like.....pure revelation.
Congrats to Todd and his staff. 14th in the world!

It is on Lewis and Clark Parkway, west of the malls, in Clarksville. Right across the parking lot from Mark's Feed Store.

We've been The Keg for the past 37 years, but we had a reputation for all the Bud/Miller/Coors that you wanted. When I bought out my parents 3 years ago, I started changing the inventory over to something better, in wine, liquor and beer. It's been a long road to let people know that we carry the products that we do, but it has been worth it.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words and congratulations!

Oh Todd, no disrespect intended. It's just that on this side of the river, we always give directions by what used to be there.

Sorry, my years away from the area made me lose a bit of my southern charm....

We are right next to where the old Chi Chi's used to be.....
