Gelato Gilberto coming to Frankfort Avenue

Gelato Gilberto is planning a second location at 2240 Frankfort Ave. (that’s the building that has housed Zen Garden, Lola’s Kitchen and JoJo Jack’s). I'm excited about having a location much closer to me than Norton Commons. It will also be easy to combine a visit with dinner at the Irish Rover, or any of the other restaurants on that stretch of Frankfort. I don’t know how soon they’ll be open; they just applied for a building permit this week.

That's good news! I loved Zen Garden (under the original ownership), but since they segued into Roots/Heart & Soy it wasn't a crushing loss. I think Gilberto ought to stick in that location, even with Comfy Cow not too far away.
