Any suggestions for a place to take my 4 yr old for Beignets today? Looking for something not too far from us. Thanks!

Cafe Beignet in the Fish House, corner Barret and Winter (Grinstead and Oak), across from the Monkey Wrench, near Lynn's.

Might want to call to see whether they just do the beignets on the weekends during their breakfast.

It was posted here ... they're doing them daily during Mardi Gras.

We just tried the beignets from the Fish House. They were mediocre at best.

We have Beignet de Crescents on our desert menu at Sweet Peas Southern.

I'm Chris. I am always there. So if you come in; I'll be sure to take good care of you.

We enjoyed the beignets there! My daughter said that she wish that "it could go on forever"!

I've never been there before -- the people who run it are such nice people!

I'm glad you enjoyed it, Nicole! I love their fish sandwiches and haven't been disappointed when I got beignets and such - there's not too much to mess up!

I thought the beignets at the Fish House were very good. Another option is Rockwall, which has a miniature version covered in powdered suger and chocolate sauce.
