New Indoor Dining Shutdown

by TimT » Thu Nov 19, 2020 9:31 am

How many closures will result from the new indoor dining shutdown that begins tomorrow? Bevin's plan allows for a possible $10,000 grant, but that's a drop in the bucket compared to losses during the holiday season. I'm still mourning the recent loss of the Uptown Cafe. I always special ordered an entire Mocha Dacquoise when visiting Louisville. Still my favorite dessert!

I don't believe these restaurants are going to make it for the most part. I hope I'm wrong. I also hope some of these restaurant owners choose to re-enter the business when it's more hospitable in a year or two.

I agree, going to do takeout when I can, hope it helps. And not to detract from a serious subject, but....

No one was happier than me to see Bevin go. But as a restaurant worker I’m missing him right now. Beshear will not be getting a second vote from me.

I got takeout tonight and it was like a ghost town. It didn't seem like there were many carryout orders. Please, folks, order carryout from your favorite places! It's not worth it for them to pay staff to do carryout versus just closing the doors if nobody is buying.

You can always go work across the river. They've been back to normal for awhile now.
