Chili rellenos

by Carla G » Tue Jun 16, 2020 10:46 am

I’m going to bite the bullet and venture out. I’m jonesin’ for some great chili rellenos (the kind with an egg batter crust).
Any recommendations?

I really like the chiles poblanos at Las Margaritas. La Lupita in Clarksville has excellent chile rellanos, but that may be a bit too far.

I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but Galaxie is doing a version now that looks awesome. I saw a pic of it on Facebook or Instagram, but can't locate it now. Masks required to enter/order, must sit outside.

Beer battered poblano, chihuahua cheese, corn, zucchini, squash, crema cilantro. $8

Tried the chili relleno at Galaxie yesterday. It was good and very crunchy but ate a tad on the healthy side. It’s definitely not that heavy cheesy version I’m use to.
