I only get Beyond Burgers or Impossible burgers. For me, the Beyond Burger at Six Forks is great!!
And the cheesy cheese fries are a (rare) treat.

Actually, I'm finding more places doing that recently (even before the pandemic), maybe they have finally decided that I need to serve the customer what they want!

i have been meaning to try Six Forks for a while now. Can I get my burger cooked to order? I like the idea of a special custom grind, but don't want it well-done. I certainly don't want to temp-shame anyone, but strongly prefer my burger medium to medium-rare, as a personal choice.

I don't know about "the best", and my personal opinion might even change day-to-day, AND im biased because of its proximity to my house, but shout-out to Kayrouz. I enjoy their grind, simple beefy flavor, and the fact that they cook it to a perfect medium-rare each time.

They also make a fine french dip, tuna salad, club, BLT, etc.

I always enjoy the burger at Jack Fry's, and need to attempt the burger at the Fat Lamb, which I have seen and heard great things about. But every time I go I end up distracted by something else.

Someone else mentioned it, but Game also makes a great burger. I generally go Kangaroo, as it is delicious and I feel that I have to go exotic there, but their prime beef burger is very solid as well.

Right now Red Hog has my go to burger for dinner hamburgers. Lunch on the go, for me, I still love an Ollie Burger with cheese, dressed and a fry.

I answered Butchtown Grocery on the Facebook post, which I still stand behind, but Redhog is probably a tie.

Red Hog is really good.

The Cuban hamburger at Mojito Tapas is out of this world--the way they mix in Spanish chorizo with the beef really does wonders for the flavor.

I agree with many here. However, a burger thread is incomplete without mention Bambi Bar’s burger. Fresh, beefy, unpretentious and nicely cooked. They are consistently in my top 3 for the 502.

The burger at Jack Fry's is still my #1. A lot of folks probably don't get it unless it's lunch time, but it is outstanding. Custom grind, and great cheese choices.

Thanks for jumping in, Laura! Glad your forum registration worked. :)

Hillcrest Tavern is family with Burger Girl and Burger Boy, and they do burgers right.

I forgot about the Bards Town burger. I wonder if they have a grill out back, because it tastes almost like it's grilled out. Really good burger.

The Fat Lamb is THE best burger in Louisville. Perfection, if you prefer the smash style: Can't believe nobody had mentioned that already, tb.
