a fabulous place to work...

I found out that my old employers at the Washbag in San Francisco closed earlier this month. My old coworker Mike McCourt is floating around looking for work at 72. I wish him and Guy luck in any new endeavors. I feel poorly for all those old fogeys that are left floating around......just need to tell somebody who'd appreciate it I guess.

I'm sorry to hear that, Nora. I don't know the restaurant, but I know what it is to have such tight bonds with people you have worked with. And the bonds I've had with people I've worked with in restaurants have been some of the strongest, and lasted the longest. But as cliche as it sounds, I believe everything happens for a reason, and I bet your friends will find themselves in a better situation overall. Keep the faith! : o)
