Best Calamari?

by Ray G. » Fri Feb 01, 2008 6:58 pm

I am on the hunt for some great calamari. Ramsi's isn't bad (the sweet chili sauce is great) but I am sure there is better in the area.

Two more great ones: Porcini's and Jack's Lounge.

Or for a distant cousin in the family of tentacled sea beasts, the amazing grilled octopus at Proof. (I assume they still have it. It's a classic.)

2nd Mojito's....I don't order it often so I can;t compare to many places. But was pleased and surprised how much I enjoyed the fried squid at Mojito's.

I can't eat at Rocky's without having their calamari. Always very very good.

The calamari at Primo was excellent - my youngest (2 at the time) loved it.

It's hard for me to dine at Proof and NOT get octopus. It truly is an amazing dish. Chef Paley has it down when it comes to that tentacled creature from the sea.
Great food along with great company is truly one of lifes best treasures.
