Show & Tell at Meta now open!

by Jeremy J » Mon Sep 16, 2019 1:19 pm

Hey everyone! Long time since I've posted, been busy running Meta. Hope everyone here is doing well, just wanted to let you all know that I've opened up a bottle shop in the back of Meta called Show & Tell.

We specialize in funky, hard to find, and off the wall wines and spirits. We have an extensive Amari, Aperitif, Digestif, Bourbon, Gin, Rum (and other cane based spirits), and Mezcal selection, as well as some truly fantastic and off the beaten path wines priced from $10.99-150, with the average bottle coming in around $16-45. Additionally, all wine can be consumed at Meta for a small corkage fee.

If you like weird and hard to find stuff we're the place for you-- AND you won't have to go to Total!

BUT! If the shop is closed and you require quality late night wine and spirits, just talk to your friendly Meta bartender and we will sell to you until 2am!

Like what you did with the Black Lodge flooring.

I'd say the entire room looks like it could have been sketched out by Lynch. The floor, the curtains...just needs Bob.

Obviously that was our main inspiration, but for those who don't know, Meta is housed in what used to be the Show N' Tell Strip Club. When we renovated that front room we left the back untouched, so during buildout for the bottle shop, we tried to leave as much as we could and pay homage to it's former use. The truck mudflap neon by the front desk we actually found in the wall during demo, and we also kept a lot of the old mirrors as well as the mirrored private dance rooms, which we have dubbed the champagne room, which is where we keep our bubbly! We also got our name from the club, which I think really showcases our approach to selling wine and spirits. :D

Very Meta indeed.

(Just all the self-reference, not necessarily the Black Lodge. I hope.)

No, Jerry, I remember going as a kid. By the time I was a teenager, our Druthers was a DQ. I just love the BQ logo. Don’t read into it, either. I’m not a queen/diva type person.

Thanks Alexis...the reason I asked I did used to work at the Corp. HQ, but was talking to a friend last week and a friend of his used to be the Queenie Bee mascot. I mentioned to him about your use of the avatar, and he was betting you were the one.
