Welcome to the Louisville Restaurants Forum, a civil place for the intelligent discussion of the local restaurant scene and just about any other topic related to food and drink in and around Louisville.
I'm really going out on a limb here, Chris, because the short answer is that I don't know. But there's an outfit in Lexington called Clem's Refrigerated Foods that sells frozen food in bulk ($200 mimimum) to restaurants, retail shops and groceries; and they do have seafood - including breaded clam strips - on their sales list.
Well I have also been very curious. The "sign" has been there a while now and it seems like nothing is actually happening. Maybe Clem is busy digging clams up in Ipswich and has no time to get the steamer ready? Here's to hoping. I still marvel in the fact that we can get an excellent lobster roll in this town!
