When I started this thread I forgot about the can of Coleman's that I have in the pantry...

It didn't even cross my mind because I use it as an "ingredient" more than a "condiment".

However, in the summer, when I've been grilling I have been known from time to time to make some "beer mustard" out of the dried stuff.

I can't understand why most of you foodies haven't mentioned my all time fave yet!

If you haven't tried this wonderful stuff, then what are you waiting for?

It packs more flavor(without being too acidic) and punch(a bold but comfortable heat level) than most other mustards out there...

I particularly like it on grilled sausages

If you get to Dijon, don't miss the Maille store. It's worth the pilgrimage.

I really like fig mustard (Feigensenf/Moutarde à la figue) on cold meats and plain white cheese. I have to have plain yeller mustard for hot dogs and deviled eggs though.

I LOVE Beaver mustards, really all of 'em. Does ANYONE know where to get Beaver Mustard in Louisville? When Winn-Dixie on Goss turned into a ValuMarket (briefly), they carried it, but when it switched to Kroger they stopped

I have just discovered Wasabi Lime Mustard by Terrapin Ridge at Fresh Market. Besides lime and wasabi powder its ingredigents include green jalapeno peppers. Wow! This one is a reall head clearer!

I am terribly allergic to mustard so I DO NOT LOVE IT!! Eyes swell shut, throat closes...all in all not a fun time. THis means I have to be extra careful with BBQ. Lots of sauces and rubs contain either wet or dry mustard. This is a problem because I love BBQ. I always ask when visiting a new place if their rubs and/or sauces have mustard. Most of the time servers are friendly. The worst experience was at Smokey Bones when I asked, server said no, I had a reaction asked again, and the server went and asked someone. SHe came back and said, "yes that does have mustard in it." Oh, Really? Thanks for ht eheads up. We haven't been cak since.
