With great sadness, we have decided to close the business effective today at 2pm. We’ve loved having you as our guest as it was a hard decision.
We’re sorry for any inconvenience. Most of our great staff have been placed with other jobs. We appreciate you all.

Yeah, I never got there either. Same premise as Merle's Whiskey Kitchen downtown, I believe.

I ate there several times. They had good tacos, but with Taco Choza next door and Luchador within spitting distance, merely good isn't enough. They seemed to draw a decent crowd. It will be interesting to see what replaces it.

MexA taco just down the way, too!

MexaSteak is delicious! If only they had a sweet plantain taco like Taco Luchador! I forgot about trying Taco Choza...will have to try them... There's also El Tarasco and Salsarita's nearby...not that I think they were competition. We really do have a taco stand on every corner!

I wonder what Waylon's will become? I never tried it. Maybe The Fishery could move into it for larger digs? Though, that might be too large for them. I get the feeling they like the close and cozy feel.

That statement qualifies for heresy!!

You don't mess with success! From their website...

"The Fishery has been a Louisville staple
since 1983, serving top quality food, fast,
fresh, and hot"

Lexington Rd. would never be the same!

Didn't the Fishery have another location in Plainview?

A LONG time ago.

That was quick:

https://foodanddine.com/exclusive-havan ... ter-space/

Now, I wonder what will fill Havana Rumba's old space...glad they are only moving a couple blocks away!

Of course, I look at the word "reinvented" and worry...apparently it will be like Mojitos...never been there, but I've heard good things. http://mojitotapas.com/ It looks good....paella is always fun. They at least have a ropa vieja looking dish (chicken instead of beef), but I will really miss the original! Hope they keep the other locations.

They do cite Robin as the reason for liking larger digs!

I'm looking forward to Mojito in Havana. It's a much better location, but I had really grown to appreciate the "hole in the wall" feel of the old place.
