I didn't know skillet cornbread had the name "spider" or that beer cheese originated in KY

And of course, real banana pudding is made from scratch, with "cow slobbers"

My favorite recipe for skillet cornbread is spider bread from the American Heritage cookbook, which gives the correct (skillet with legs) explanation. There's nothing specifically Kentucky about it, though.
