There are two buffets on 5th St- one Indian and one Ethiopian. It seems like your best bet since it is not much further, the food is better than most places mentioned, and you can walk right in and grab a plate.

I believe I started this thread last year! In my two weeks of jury duty, I found the days I went in I almost always would be dismissed around lunchtime. I ended on a jury only two days, and both were plea-bargained after jury selection. I ended up packing a lunch rather than venturing afield, an hour isn't really a long time when you are hoofing it a few blocks. I brought a small lunch cooler daily with cold water, snacks, and a sandwich. Bring wet wipes, lots of wet wipes, a fully charged electronic device (outlets are at a premium). The parking garage gets backed up in the morning, so plan on that, and good luck! I found calling into the jury line the night before was a lot like finding out school was canceled...or not.

Wait, what is it about jury duty that requires so many wet wipes?

The courthouse is a human sewer.

I still don’t understand the wet wipes. Is hand sanitizer not allowed?

I'd guess you can bring hand sanitizer, but I carry those little packets of wet wipes for wiping down questionable surfaces. It's not about cleaning my hands, although they are useful for that, too.
