Looking for "Girl-y" Lunch Spot

by Gretchen D. » Sun Mar 25, 2007 7:43 pm

I have the day off tomorrow and want to take my daughters, ages 3-1/2 and 5-1/2, out for a "girl's lunch". They are well behaved in restaurants and enjoy good food. In fact, when I told them we would go out to lunch, my older daughter started screaming "SEVICHE!!!" She was disappointed that they are not open for lunch! Any suggestions for a place with an interesting menu that's kind of "tea-room" style? (BTW, they are not big sandwich eaters).
Thanks, Gretchen.

This may be off base, but why not call Proof on Main and ask what they might arrange for you and your girls? Knowing the place well, I think they may be able to offer quite a unique experience for you and your daughters. Just my suggestion. If you go, arrange a tour of the museum/hotel.
Great food along with great company is truly one of lifes best treasures.

I hear they have a wonderful Cafe at the Derby City Antique Mall as well. South end of Bardstown Road, 1/2 mile from Hike's Lane....
