search help? (for "8 UP")

by Willie Myers » Sun Apr 15, 2018 5:27 pm

hi all!,
I'm trying to do a search to see if we have any threads about "8 UP", the restaurant down at 4th & Chestnut. But the Search engine won't let me put in "8 UP" or "8UP"....grrr....
isn't there a way to "fool" the search engine? or do a Google search for HotBytes?

I didn't find anything about it recent but here's a link to a review done by Robin back in 2015 soon after it opened: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=22905&p=170860&hilit=Hilton+Garden+Inn#p170860

I haven't heard much about it recently one way or the other. I know they had a huge management shakeup a couple of years ago, the FOH manager, Executive Chef and I believe the sommelier all left. I haven't heard much about it one way or the other since that time.

Update, I just found this article from April of last year regarding the shakeup: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=24645&p=182079&hilit=Hilton+Garden+Inn#p182079

Run the search with "Hilton" and you'll find five or six threads about 8UP. Kind of a workaround.

The problem is that the search won't work for units of less than, I think, four characters. But "Hilton" is a great workaround! :)
