by Robin Garr » Tue Jan 22, 2008 11:41 am

I'm usually so cynical about press releases from PR firms, but I just can't help it ... White Castle's promotions make me laugh. :D

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
January 22, 2008

White Castle is offering “Reserved Candlelight Dining” on Valentine’s Day, Thursday, February 14, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at nine restaurants in the Metro Louisville area. For this special night only, diners will be treated to reserved table-side service at participating White Castles. The restaurants will also be decorated for the evening with tablecloths and flowers. Romantic music will add to the Valentine ambiance. For locations and to make reservations, call the Valentine hotline at (502) 361-2317 extension 7, Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., up to Valentine’s Day.

Actually, I think this is awesome and would be totally excited if my boy were to do this for me, but we don't celebrate valentines day. If I were ever to get a corny proposal, that would be the perfect place. (Or slugger field.) I don't know what I love more - that dusseldoorf mustard or baseball!

Does it have to be either-or? Sneak a sack of Sliders IN to Slugger Field!

My wife will actually be off on V-day evening for the first time in the 10 years we have been together (dating and married), so I think we may do this just for the fun, since we are already gong to the KY dinner train on the Saturday after V-day......can't wait.

Grounds for divorce at White Castle

by James Natsis » Tue Jan 22, 2008 4:38 pm

I must honestly say that if I took my wife to White Castle for Valentine's Day, in spite of our wonderful relationship, it would send her to the first divorce lawyer she could find!

My wife and I actually enjoy slyders from time to time...Although we haven't been in months, I think we will definately hit it up this week for a "snack" :D

Also it should be fun, cause how awesome would it be to get table service at the ol' WC Lounge....

And we do have out "real" valentines dinner at the dinner train that weekend...
