You can joke about the Cardinals' poor performance against Clemson, but Louisville's pizza is off limits.

Dave Portnoy — the founder of the online sports and media blog Barstool Sports — said he may have overstayed his welcome in River City after he published some harsh reviews of three local pizzerias: Bearno's, Impellizzeri Pizza and The Post.

"I don't want to trash Louisville, they want me out," Portnoy said in a video. "They want to run me out of town because of my pizza reviews."
"The idea is to eat well and not die from it-for the simple reason that that would be the end of your eating." - Jim Harrison

I read the review earlier and wasn't particularly impressed. I think he's probably a better judge of college football than pizza.

I'll second the click bait. Good idea, though. Take an insignifacant blog, write some over the top stuff about something that will likely tick someone off, and bingo--somebody actually clicks on your site to see for themselves.

Just the fact that he gave Bearno's a 7.2 out of 10 indicates he has no taste.

I didn't bother reading the article but it doesn't really sound like he went to the best pizza places in town anyway! Not sure how we picked the ones he went to but he certainly could have picked better. I like to see what he really thinks about some of the great pizza that Louisville has. Coals, Old-School New York, even Wicks would have been a much better representation of what Louisville has to offer for pizza.

You know, I always come back to the fact that pizza is totally subjective with all the variables. It just depends on what you like - crust, sauce, thick/thin, toppings, minimal or dripping with cheese. You know? Sort of like tolerance for heat - some people can squash a habanero no sweat (literally) while others are whimpering with a banana pepper.
