I know that they are open for lunch and, luckily, they seem pretty busy at that time of day. I don't know about dinner, though.

The for rent sign is for other space in the building (where Curves used to be). I ate at YaChing's twice last week, and eat there almost every Friday. The food is great, and they are usually pretty busy at lunch.

They are not closed. Laura Tao is the coordinating chef at the Crane House dinner next weekend and she is MOST DEFINITELY OPEN!!
