Whole Fish?

by Joni L » Sat Jun 17, 2017 2:23 pm

My niece recently went to Spain and had a whole roasted fish that she loved, and she's hoping to re-create the memory. Does anyone have a recommendation of a good restaurant in town for whole fish?

Thanks!

Hiko-A-Mon has some in its grilled fish selection. Mary just had a whole grilled sanma (mackerel pike) the other night.

It would be worth calling Seviche to see if they have any whole fish entrees. They aren't just seviche, of course, but they really take seafood and fish seriously.

I would expect Mitchell's Fish Market to have some whole fish items but can't be specific.

Riverhouse was doing whole Lionfish a few days ago.

Just back from Greece...a note..whole fish is served all over Mexico, Caribbean and Europe..but Americans have an issue with the eyes. I've heard this often. My husband's fish last week had an olive for an eye, lol!

Check the menu at Red Hog. Certain weeks we run a whole grilled branzino, trout, etc.

I had a good whole steamed fish with soy sauce and ginger at Oriental House.

Joy Luck serves a whole fish. I've not had it, but it sure looked good when I saw it being brought out from the kitchen.
