We went to the brewery on opening day - good beer. $5 pints, $6 for IPA pints. They had a tent in front of the brewery. A small 'strip' shopping center. It's toward the back off Catherine in Lyndon. Tent probably won't be there forever. Parking on a gravel area or across the street but don't park in the church parking lot - at least the sign at the entrance said not to.
Saw BBC and Apocalypse folks.
Hadn't been to Red Barn yet. Sat at the bar. Shared two beers, the biscuit app, pimento grits and pulled pork. Enough for us for that tasting. Very good. Nice service. Our biscuits were disappointing - flat, light colored, crumbly, but they have gave us two more that were higher and darker. Maybe pulled our 3 too soon?
Anyway, appreciated the better biscuits. Will certainly return. Might get the food to go to take to Holsopples. They've already had a food truck or two. Closed on Sundays and Mondays.
Nice addition for those of us east of the Watterson:-)
(I worked with her at Brown-Forman. I'm retired; she's still working. Nice people).
