Anyone know what's going in the building by Clifton Donuts?

Some remodeling appears to be happening.

We noticed signs of work inside just the other day, but no hint as to what it is. I'm afraid that's looking more and more like another haunted spot, a diner of broken dreams. :(

What did that building originally house? Its shaped like your standard run of the mill Fastfood/pizza/american chain diner.

I was just thinking the other day its been over a decade now since I've stepped foot in the Red Pepper Chinese building. Got me thinking is it better to be a haunted restaurant with many shuttered iterations or just eternally abandoned?

From what I've heard, it's a building owner who has a very unrealistic idea of the value of his property, even after all these years. Shariat's worked out there because of its price point, but for all its popularity, Red Pepper couldn't make the numbers work, and none of the flurry of budget-level successors could even come close.

The building in Lyndon was a Sonic. Looks like someone is slowly tearing it down, but I have no idea what's going to happen to the space.

The renovation of that Sonic was discussed back in January, it's going to become a Waffle House.

I'm ridiculously excited about a Waffle House in my neighborhood!
