Don't know if you've been following it (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEViXqS ... e=youtu.be plus other sites and shows from other cities) but White Castle is visiting several food towns around the country (where they have locations) to get local chef takes on a slider.

On November 29th, they will be in Louisville, as Edward Lee adapts his pimento brisket burger to a slider!

Check out the fried green beans at White Castle right now. Incredibly good.

That actually doesn't surprise me. Their onion rings would pass muster at a much pricier eatery.

While a simple slider can sometimes taste like ambrosia (at least to me) I found the new turkey sliders beyond dull. Which they offered them with cranberry sauce instead of apple butter.

The veggie slider is actually fairly worthy, if you have it made like a slider with onions and pickles and the brown Dusseldorf mustard. Those Dr. Praeger's patties probably have more protein and flavor than the "meat" burger. ;)

speaking of White Castle and sliders, is it just me or has anyone else found that the sliders at the "new" St. Mathews White Castle just don't taste like the "classics" - - or even like the ones that you can currently get at Hikes Ln. or downtown?

I am with on that Willie!

Went thru the drive thru a couple of months ago and my slider was dry and tasted like cardboard...I've heard many descriptions for a White Castle, but cardboard was a new one for me.

Another time at the St. Matthews location and the fires were so greasy they were uneatable (if that is a word).

This location is definitely a notch below others.
