Eli's BBQ in the Holiday Manor Kroger

by Ellen P » Tue Nov 15, 2016 5:52 pm

Anybody try it yet? Neighbors said it's a small BBQ place in Cincy, in a old house, with a big picnic table area outside.

Looking forward to trying Martin's. Closest to me, I think. We usually wait for Momma's food truck at Commonwealth Tap to satisfy our bbq craving.

Have not tried Eli's (although it just across the street), and probably will not, based on the price for a full slab - $30 (gulp)...isn't the going rate around $20??

At any rate...I like the new Kroger (Holiday Manor) layout alot, but will stay away from the corner with Eli's.

Wow! $30. Didn't get that close to look at pricing. They do have taps in their spirit store but weren't able to sample yet - so probably will wait to buy. Bought a hoppy holiday that was a little grainy.
Thanks!

Is Jerry Rogers liquor store that was there gone now? If so...pity. He's pretty knowledgeable about wine.

If you're talking about the little liquor store between Kroger and the dry cleaner or fur shop, then yes. I believe it closed about a year ago (correct me if I'm wrong), and my guess is that Kroger bought them out in anticipation of this expansion.

I suppose he still owns the Party Source (name?) in the shopping center with the Anooshes places.

I guess so. I just usually went to the smaller one because it was easier to navigate.

The Party Mart that Mr. Rogers owned in Brownsboro Center was sold to Jonathan Blue a year or so ago.
