Restaurants open on Thanksgiving

by Robin Garr » Thu Nov 03, 2016 9:28 am

Attention local restaurateurs: Who's having traditional Thanksgiving feasts this year? Who's open and serving, period?

For reference, here are links to a couple of early discussions, but feel free to re-post and let us know what's going on!

Thanksgiving at Proof on Main

by Robin Garr » Thu Nov 17, 2016 12:35 pm

1c Museum Hotel Louisville and Proof on Main Celebrate Thanksgiving
21c Museum Hotel Louisville and Proof on Main invite guests to enjoy a feast with family and friends on Thanksgiving Day. Executive chef Mike Wajda will prepare a special a la carte menu on Thursday, November 24 from 2 to 8 p.m.

The menu will feature Thanksgiving favorites and a few twists on traditional fare like the Heritage Turkey Feast with roasted breast, smoked leg, whipped potato, port cranberry and ginger Brussels sprouts.

“We’re excited to source our birds from Farmer Joe’s in Salvisa, Kentucky this year. His heritage breed organic turkeys will pair up perfectly with our Thanksgiving feast. We think it is extremely important to know where our food is coming from and Farmer Joe's is no stranger to Proof on Main as we use his ducks on a regular basis,” said Wajda.

Seating for Thanksgiving dinner is limited. Reservations can be made by calling 502.217.6360.

For those in need of a place to stay during this holiday season, guestroom reservations are available at 21c Louisville online at www.21cLouisville.com or by calling 502.217.6300.
