Oktoberfest (German) Catering

by JustinHammond » Wed Sep 28, 2016 8:15 am

Looking for someone to cater a company Octoberfest style cookout for around 200 people.

Simple food

Brats, kraut, german potato salad, ect.

Tried the Gasthaus, but they are too pricey.

Have you tried these guys: http://www.schnitzelbank.com/catering ? I have no personal experience, but I've heard good things about them.

Try Germany #1 food truck. These guys are from Germany and are producing some great authentic food. You can contact them through their listing on LouisvilleFoodTruckAssociation.com

So happy to hear it! Not at all surprised, though. Great guys; everyone I've heard from loves the food. We're happy to have them as members of the Association.

Why don't we have a German beer hall with German food? We ALWAYS go to the Hofbrauhaus when we are in the Cincy area. Every visit.
The German American Club is a small substitute, especially, their hours, every 2 weeks.
Please. :-)

I'll certainly agree with this comment! It would be nice to have a Hofbrauhaus or something equivalent to it. It certainly seems like Louisville could support one quite well.

I have been to a few locations of Hofbräuhaus. The beer has been consistently very good. The service and atmosphere has been consistently good. However, the food has been consistently meh.

I'll certainly agree with that, the only one I've been to that had halfway decent food was the original one in Munich! Even then the food played 2nd fiddle to the beer.
