Thanksgiving dinners (traditional)?

by Willie Myers » Wed Sep 14, 2016 8:27 am

Hi all, I know it may be a bit early but I'm trying to find out which restaurants/hotels will be open and doing traditional Thanksgiving Dinner this year? I'd guess that The Oak Room and The English Grill will be doing it, but was hoping fo some addtional reccomendations. We have family coming over from Europe and would like to treat them to a "turkey 'n all the fixin's" dinner, which we can't do these days. Suggestions?
thanks

Willie, it's probably a little early to know this year's plans for sure, but if we assume that it will be similar to last Thanksgiving, this thread might help:

If I were entertaining from out of town I think I'd consider visiting Science Hill. They do a buffet of traditional Thanksgiving fare and offer country ham as well. The ambiance is lovely too.

Yep, that's what we are doing this year! Going to the Thanksgiving buffet at Churchill Downs in Millionaires Row. That would be a great place to take your guests, Better make reservations soon though!

Science Hill is wonderful- but if you don't feel like traveling The Butchertown Grocery has a very good Thanksgiving served family style. It's $45. We went last year and I just made this year's reservation.
