Nah, Jerry, don't forget that I held that job for the old Louisville Times and then the CJ from 1984-1990. It was serious, then: They only hired full-time reporters or editors to do it, and made damn sure that we stayed anonymous and never, ever, did favors for restaurant industry friends. Things have changed a lot. I would never work for Gannett, and in fairness, I doubt they would have me.

Anyway, HotBytes - and even more so, HotBytes and LEO - have a whale of a lot more readers than the CJ's dining column.
