Griffin Paulin/Mirin

by Rich S » Thu Jul 28, 2016 12:13 pm

Apparently this place will be at the old Shiraz location on Frankfort. He's hoping to open in September.

Asian street food comes to Frankfort Ave.

Griffin Paulin, formerly of Rumplings and Over the 9, is at work opening Mirin at 2011 Frankfort Ave., where he'll serve his favorite cuisine: Asian street food.

Centered around ramen, banh mi, and bao, Mirin will be a small, quick service restaurant.

“We need [this kind of food] in Louisville,” Paulin says. But moreover, “it's the food I love. With such a small operation, I can get away with cooking the food I love and hope that everyone else does too. It's just so simple and perfect.”

See if this link will work to pull the first-draft Mirin menu off the HotBytes Facebook page:

I, personally, can not wait! I sorely miss Rumplings. Griffin has learned alot more since Rumplings closed. His menu for Mirin is more grown up. Bao is one of my husband's favorite things in the entire world (seriously).

For some reason I've gotten really into watching YouTube videos of Asian street food preparations. Totally excited about being able to try them now!
