El Camino moving out, The Eagle moving in.

The Eagle, a Cincinnati restaurant focused on craft beer and chicken, has found a place to roost in Louisville.

The restaurant will take El Camino‘s place at 1314 Bardstown Road.

I've eaten at the company's other concept the article mentions, Bakersfield, in Columbus. It was very good. Similar feel to Manny & Merle's.

After looking over the menu for The Eagle I'm not overly impressed. It certainly doesn't look like a great addition to the Louisville dining scene and it obviously doesn't serve anything different than things we are ready have. Actually, even though I'm not a huge fan of El Camino I would rather have it staying where it is and being replaced by this restaurant. Time will tell but initial impressions certainly don't have to jumping for joy.

I like El Camino a lot, and am glad it isn't shutting down. I saw a rumor on Reddit that they are moving to the intersection of E St Catherine and Oak in Germantown (or is that Frogtown?) If true, I am always happy to see cool places open up in our neck of the woods. Not sure about the Eagle place's menu; hopefully it is good.
