Long John Silver's "samples"...seriously???

by MarieP » Mon May 23, 2016 10:31 am

Just saw this article:

Seriously? Not only, as a friend pointed out, should they be handing out coupons for a whole one instead of just handing out sandwich quarters for several hours...but come on, cod is like the most basic fish you can imagine!

I can't fault them. They need to be doing something to rebuild the brand and starting with their most basic menu item is the best idea they've had in 20 years. I can also see the logic in the smaller samples after seeing what happened to KFC with the free grilled chicken promotion that blew up in their face.

Will be interesting to see if they can turn the corner on this and get back to some level of respectability.
