Just thought I would jump in and let you guys know what has been going on.
First off, Bill, I'm sorry you had that experience. Please come back in!
I will admit we have had a rough start. We slightly underestimated the volume and way overestimated our preparedness for it. We actually shut down for two days at the beginning of last week to retrain the staff and re-strategize our approach. Since then, the food has been coming out more consistent and way better overall. Service is slowly getting there as well. The runner system we use takes some getting used to with a staff that is not accustomed to it.
One of the decisions we made last week was to stop taking reservations outside of large private parties. This has cut our wait time in half and has helped the flow at the front door, bar, dining room and kitchen. We have also had some POS issues that have mostly been resolved that were wreaking havoc on the wait staff and kitchen crew.
What I can assure all of you is we are improving every day in all departments. We went through this at Doc Crow's as well and like Doc Crow's we are working on how to make all aspects better every day. We still have a few rough patches here and there but those patches are getting and will continue to get smaller and smaller. If you come in and are not satisfied, PLEASE let the manager on duty know so they can try to fix whatever has gone wrong and have the chance to turn your experience around.
