Chef Maria Bell

by Steve Shade » Wed Apr 13, 2016 10:14 pm

The lovely Greek chef has resurfaced at the Derby City Antique Mall. This is in beautiful downtown Buechel on Old Bardstown RD in an old school.

Open from 11 am to 4 pm Tuesday through Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 3 (not sure of the Sunday hours).

Food is excellent as always. Service is eccentric as always. Who knows how long this will be open. Worth going.

It appears she's not there any longer, according to the all-knowing Facebook

You have got to be kidding! No, maybe not. I believe this sets a new record, though. :(

Perhaps she should consider a food truck!

Already did that. It lasted for a few months.

Said she closed because "limitation of hours". Of course she knew the hours when she opened.

Her brother -the only waiter apparently- had received a masters degree and was leaving the restaurant at the beginning of May. Most likely this was the real reason.

You might find her at the St Matthews farmers market.
