Mexa Steak Tacos is open now at 3701 Lexington Road (that’s next to Asahi Japanese Restaurant, in the same block as Lotsa Pasta). They don’t seem to have a menu online, but Kevin Gibson had a very positive report on the place a few days ago on Insider Louisville:
Mexa Tacos “will focus on steak tacos, with a veggie option, a signature nachos dish and a steak bowl. The small restaurant — there are five rows of tables with assorted mix-and-match chairs — will also serve Mexican beer and margaritas. But there’s no chicken. There’s also no chorizo, seafood or other type of meat. Owner Lorena Casas-Ostos told Insider Louisville last year that sirloin steak tacos are a traditional dish in her hometown of Monterrey, Mexico.”
