The Comfy Cow's seven seasonal Derby Collection flavors will roll out tomorrow (April 7) and will be available while they last. Apologies for the PR language. I wish folks would just give us the facts, but I don't have a half-hour to waste wielding the editor's pen, so read past the adjectives to figure out what the flavors are.

• Blackberry Mint Julep - A Comfy Cow twist on a legendary Derby favorite. Ripe, juicy blackberries are pureed into a syrupy delight to make the base of this “must try” ice cream. Add Fresh mint and a healthy pour of bourbon and you’ve got a truly refreshing version of Kentucky’s traditional Mint Julep.

• Bourbon Ball - Our Bourbon Ball ice cream is a real labor of love. Why? Because we hand-make-from-scratch every single bourbon ball that goes into it. We treat each and every buttery, bourbon-soaked ball of chocolaty goodness as a delicate work of art. And then we smash them into ice cream. Heartbreaking? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely.

• Kentucky Bourbon Glazed Brownies - Sure to be a hit, our newest Derby offering consists of bourbon soaked chocolate brownie pieces crumbled into a sweet cream ice cream with a chocolate bourbon glazed swirl. A new tradition is born.

• Simply Southern - Ice cream, pecan pie and bourbon. Now that’s our kind of trifecta. Each batch of Simply Southern starts with handmade-from-scratch pecan pies, filled to the brim with fine Belgian chocolate and sweet Georgia pecans. Once the pies have baked to golden perfection, we crumble them into cool, buttery ice cream, throw in a healthy pour of Kentucky bourbon and continue our countdown to the first Saturday in May.

• Secretariat - The Comfy Cow joined forces with Penny Chenery and the Secretariat team to make this special commemorative ice cream honoring Big Red. Paying homage to the iconic blue and white silks of this super horse, this treat includes Barry Callebaut white chocolate ice cream loaded with chunks of our very own homemade blueberry cobbler.

• Bourbon Maple Walnut - Combine Kentucky bourbon, 100% pure Maple Syrup and sugar dusted walnuts into a bourbon based ice cream and what do you have? Real southern comfort.

• The Doctor’s Cure - The Doctor’s Cure started as a special project for a restaurant (Doc Crow's) in our hometown of Louisville. But when people caught wind of its power, the doctor had to start making house calls. So what’s his secret? Homemade sugar-and-spice pecans, bourbon brown butter ice cream and a healthy dose of bourbon-infused caramel. Powerful stuff, indeed.
