Thank you!

Too early for racing (normally you'd see jockeys there too) but if you go to Wagners you'll see all the grooms and stable hands from Churchill. As Robin said, tho, prepare for a setting unchanged from the 1940's.

Wild Eggs is a local chain, extremely (and deservedly) popular . . . 121 S. Floyd is closest (maybe 5-10 minutes?)

The Cafe is a great unique place for breakfast (or lunch) . . . 712 Brent . . . very Southern and Louisville-style dishes . . . not open on Sunday, tho (less than 10 minutes from U of L)

you'd have to drive to either . . .

If you wait until 11, Griff's is open, and virtually on campus.

I always like to throw in Mike Linnigs as an option for out of towners, which is an area icon in it's own right. It is mainly an outdoor, unpretentious setting with good quality seafood and chicken, although they do offer other items. This is a great place to people watch, as you see all kinds of folks hanging out enjoying the afternoon/evening. It isn't too far from the stadium, maybe 20 minutes or so. The place has been around since around 1925.

I remember paying $4.50 for one of their fish sandwiches and a $1.50 for a cold beer :D :D
