"Perfect storm" of labor issues faces restaurant industry?

by Robin Garr » Fri Apr 01, 2016 7:57 am

What I hear the restaurant industry saying in this fascinating article from Nation's Restaurant News: We can't get quality employees. Also, we won't pay for quality employees.

Perfect time to launch my new taco restaurant concept. It's called El Oh El. No waiters, no hostess, just kitchen staff and bartenders. You text message your order and pick up delicious tacos at the window, or margaritas at the bar.

Gonna be rolling in the money$$ :D

Additionally, since 1999, real median household income in the United States has been trending down while food inflation has been averaging 2%.

Except for the bartenders, sounds like a food truck. And we can't find help either.
