I don't think its quite clear yet what concept they will put in there. It may be the "faux Greek" stuff or maybe something else.

In any case, I hope they at least keep it funky!

Would it be unreasonable to yawn?

We certainly have to take that with a grain of salt considering how well the CJ normally does with its reporting! We've been to the Taziki's in Middletown a few times and the food is good but it certainly doesn't impress me as the type of place that would draw people to it. It's more the kind of place that you're in the area so that stop and eat there but not a place you want to go out of your way to get to. It doesn't seem like the kind of restaurant that would work where Lynn's is. Of course actually the same could be said for most barbecue places unless they are really great!

They are definitely going to need a "hook" to get people there. That space is too large for most of their fast casual concepts. We can only hope this does not become another restaurant "black hole".

Well, if it's BBQ then...no thanks. I got funky, great BBQ a great deal closer to home than that. I'll stick with Texacans.

I'm halfway between Smoketown and where Lynn's was, so if it's BBQ I'll be sticking with Eric, thanks.

Btw, whatever happened to that "I'll only sell if I stay in charge, keep my tjotchkes (sp?), and decide every detail"?

And yes, Robin, don't suppress that yawn. This whole affair grew "tarsome" quite some time ago. :?

Such a bizarre affair. Well at least we will get a new chain concept out of the ordeal. Those are always awesome.

Whatever........

Lynn ruined it when she got so demanding about the sale......

Whatever it is, unless it's totally off the hook and something we don't currently have, why bother?

Curious to see how all this pans out for the Barrett neighborhood.

Hopefully it works out. Even if it is a restaurant that's not exciting, having something there to bring people would be great. Personally I only went to Lynn's once, but I went to those shops nearby several times, so it was a bit sad that several of them them closed after Lynn's did.
