I just heard that they're cancelling reservations because of a kitchen fire. Can't reach them by phone to confirm. I sure hope it's not serious, though! Anyone know?

Electrical fire, I'm not told. Apparently not a major blaze, but still, it's tough to lose the whole house on a Saturday night.

Hi guys! We did have an electrical issue on Saturday night (old conduit and old range broke down at the same time), and we weren't able to get back up and running in time for the shift. No fire, however. All is well and we are back open regular hours this week. One of the challenges of taking over an old restaurant on a limited budget! It is hard to lose a Saturday night, especially one that was fully booked, but we are fully recovered, and our only worry is having to have disappointed so many lovely guests last week. Hope to see everyone soon!

That's great news, Isaac! I didn't get the impression that it was too serious, but glad to have it confirmed. Best wishes as you bounce back from this very small bump in the road.
